Question

Looking for images of pointers in Office Programs

by roboquinno / April 6, 2012 6:42 AM PDT

Does anyone know where I can get images, clipart or symbols of the various mouse pointers that appear in the office products. I am trying to create an instructional, step by step document on how to use specific parts of Word, Excel and Powerpoint?

My pointers are set in Windows, not office.

If I pull up my old XP machine, off in the Control Panel I can find the Mouse properties and the Pointers Tab.

See http://www.ghacks.net/2008/10/05/install-aero-cursor-scheme-in-windows-xp/

These pointers and cursors are not Office specific and can change with the version of Windows as well as the user customization.

This is probably why you could not find what you are looking for.

Tip? I found the mouse could disappear in the grey area off the page in Word and for years would change the mouse pointer so it would show up. Do you remember that one?

and mouse pointers for Windows are still available in more modern Windows, ie Vista and Win 7, in the Control Panel, Mouse option under the "Pointers" tab.

I would cheat by using that and just taking screen prints of the Mouse Properties dialog, (or some sort of Snipping tool pre-installed with Vista and Win 7), and taking copy images of those you want.

Alternatively if you Google Windows mouse pointers then changing the view to "Images" you will see many options you can use.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
