Looking for Hoffa

May 28, 2006 3:58AM PDT

There was just an update on TV saying that the dig for Hoffa on some farm is now in its TWELFTH day!

Agents Turn to Shovels in Search for Hoffa

News footage showed a huge area -- like the size dug for a large home with a full basement -- being dug out with at least two large dirt movers in the frame. I couldn't tell if this was the whole operation or a portion thereof, but it was large enough. (The pic in the article shows the dirt removed instead of the hole).

The dig will continue through the holiday weekend ... read: OVERTIME/HOLIDAY PAY.

All this for a "credible tip" by an aging prisoner.

I can't help but wonder what is to be gained even if they DID find him.

How many terrorism leads could these agents otherwise be tracking down (and would Holiday pay be approved for that?). How many miles of fence could be erected in twelve days?

*SIGH*

I have a question...

They started off the dig by tearing down a big barn. If they find nothing under it, will they rebuild the barn? Just wondering.

Wonder what the cost of this will end up being?
