Question

Looking for high quality hdmi splitter 1x3-1x4

Hello. I am not so techno savvy so bare with me please. I just got a gaming pc and I would like to hook it up to a variety of displays and an oculus rift. It needs to be at least 1 in 3 out but can have more outs if that is the best deal. It needs to be 4K capable but compatible with lower resolutions. It doesn’t need to be able to run more than 2 displays at a time but it must be able to run my main monitor (4K capable) and the rift at the same time. Also the display and a 4K tv at the same time. I would love to find one that senses when a display is on and automatically sends the correct signal(4K, 1080p, 3D...as many compatibilities as possible) to the display/s that are on. If that’s not possible then I don’t know what to do. I have too many cords around as is so it would be really nice to get something I can hook everything up behind the desk, run a single 1 ft male to female cable out to the front for the rift and then just have it work without losing picture quality or being too slow or whatever. I don’t want to spend a fortune on it but I want something that works(if it exists) and won’t break in 6 months.
Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

Thanks but

Well the 1x4 was only $40 so I’m not sure it was the one you meant. Unless I need a switcher, not a splitter? I think I made a mistake about needing 3d. I thought that was needed for oculus but from what I’ve read it just needs 4K capable for the bandwidth. I appreciate you pointing that out and I may get it but if there were a better one, even for a bit more money I would get it because what’s the point of having 4K or whatever features if the splitter doesn’t support it.

The splitter is 4x1

But thanks anyway. I might get the splitter, it has more reviews than the ones I’ve seen and they are generally good. I’m still holding out for the ultimate splitter, but not if it’s $200. Well maybe. It would have to be amazing and a bit future-proof.

Ultimate splitters are usually called MATRIX

Followed by the word splitter or sometimes switcher. A switcher would not seem to do what you asked up top.

A switch only runs one output to one display. You wanted one output to more than 1 so it's a splitter.
