Nov 16, 2011 9:49AM PST

I am looking for recommendations for a simple point and shoot digital camera, with:
* fast time-to-first shot
* fast shot-to-shot time
* does not use AA batteries

Thanks!

Answer
Nikon S9100

The S9100 is about as fast as it gets for a compact. Imaging-resource.com tests show a start-up time of 1.5 seconds, and a single shot-to-shot time of 1.25 seconds. It uses a proprietary li-ion battery good for approximately 270 shots.
