The G10 was a G9 with more megapixels. (something it didn't need).
The G11 was the awakening of camera engineering.
Canon let the engineers determine the specification instead of marketing people (salesmen).
They concentrated on improving the low light ability and reducing noise.
That meant that they lower the megapixels to 10 but maintain the larger sensor assembly and lens.
The G12 added more engineering features that were overlooked on the G11.
Take a good look at the G12 ... you will love it.
My favorite camera is my Canon G9 which has had problems in the past, but I like the size and feel of it.
The ultra compact cameras are too small for me.
Can anyone suggest a good replacement for my G9? 3" LCD screen, optical viewer, great photos and comfortable size, automatic point & shoot.
Thans.
