a "basic" camcorder" in your price range won't provide decent captured video under "good inside lighting" conditions. You can add light, or you can have poor quality video (maybe I am just too picky), but you don't get both. There are three reasons "pro grade camcorders" start at aboutn 20 times more than your budget... Big lenses (good, big glass is expensive, and allows more light in to hit the imaging chip) and big imaging chips to deal with low light conditions.
we're having a baby and im looking for a basic video camera, preferably under $250. good inside lighting and standard definition. i dont need hd. also, not too big. any ideas/
