Looking for affordable notebook

Hi everyone, I'm looking to get decent a laptop priced under $1000. I meed to be able to play DVDs, surf the web, store music and video files, store digital pics, etc. Here's the thing, I want to be able to play 3d games (e.g. Rome: Total War).

Right now Dell is offering the Inspiron 600m for 800 and something dollars. I can get it with the following specs for $933:

What does everyone think about WinBook and Acer? Are they decent brands?

Did u looked for emachines M5310? they have better specification than what u have but cheap as hell (it doesn't always mean cheap is Bad).. actually tigerdirect is selling them for under $800. I would suggest u looking for it. Emachines M6000 series is a powerfull one too and u can buy it on ebay for about $850 (athlon 64 +3000, 512MB RAM, 60GB HDD). take care.
