Question

Looking for a tablet, but have very specific requirements?

Jul 29, 2014 7:40AM PDT

Hello everyone!

My company is staring to use Quckbooks Field Service Management and we are looking for a tablet that could help us. Here are the requirements:

-An Android, Windows (v5, v6, v6.5) or Apple device
-Has a screen around the size of an iPad, preferably a little smaller
-EXTREMELY durable; we like the iPad but want something more durable than the typical device
-Has a camera (but preferably a scanner on the tablet; similar to what UPS or Fedex uses to scan their packages when they're delivered)
-Wireless internet capabilities

We would specifically like a tablet, not a laptop and a device that is bigger than a smartphone, but smaller than a regular size iPad...any suggestions?

Thank you!

Answer
Durable. OK, let's get that up front.

Durable (from a dictionary)
"Able to withstand wear, pressure, or damage; hard-wearing."

You just removed all the consumer units including the Apples. This leaves us with militarized units and of course Panasonic Toughbooks and tablets.

Fedex and UPS created their own hardware.
