I'm not at all sure that you would be satisfied with a point-n-shoot camera after owning one with all the manual controls.
The newly introduced Nikons:
4600
5600
5900
7600
7900
are all point-n-shoot cameras.
They have lots of scene modes but no shutter priority, no aperture priority, no Program mode, and no manual mode.
You might look at the Canon S70 or the Olympus C7000.
Here is a side-by-side view of the specs:

.
I currently use a Nikon Coolpix 5700, and I love it. But it is a little big. I was looking for a slimmer digital with the same quality of the 5700. Any ideas? and Why?
Personally, I was looking at the new coolpix 5900, what do you think? 5 megapixels is the minimum that I need.
Thanks,
Wayne
