Looking for a particular utilies software

Sep 29, 2004 1:40PM PDT

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a software/utility that allows you to highlight just what you want to. Then you can go to an icon by the time and click on it. It then prints just the highlighted portion. It mainly works on internet pages. It used to be called Print Now but I can't find that anywhere could someone help me.

Also I have tried just highlighting and then right clicking and going to print and it still prints the whole page.

Thanks
Bpgirl

Hi All its bpgirl again I found out print now is and that is not what I am looking for. This is mainly what I am looking for; a software/utility program that allows you to highlight just what you want to. Then you can go to an icon by the time and click on it. It then prints just the highlighted portion. It mainly works on internet pages.

Sorry to be so confusing hopfuly someone can help me find it.
Thanks

Re: Print Selection

When you go to print, on the Printer options page, see if there is a "Print Range" (or something like that), if so, then see if there is a "Selection" selection.

Not all browswers have that ability, but yours might.

Hi bpgirl: Instead of clicking on the 'print' in the top menu, always use 'control-P' to bring up the print menu (this works in any program). The menu that comes up with that command has the option to print a 'selection', which means just print the highlighted section. All other print options are also available on that menu, like change printing from 'portrait' to 'landscape' mode, print to a different printer than the default, etc.

Often the print in the top menu just bypasses and goes straight to the default printer without letting you change options. I don't like that because often when printing from the browser I need to turn on 'landscape' mode to get all the words on the right of the page.
