Looking for a New Digital Camera

May 16, 2005 5:10PM PDT

Ok, so I've researched a millions cameras and I can't decided which one to get.

I'm looking for a camera that takes good pictures (I'll be putting them on my computer, emailing them to friends and printing some (4x6 and 5x7 mainly).

I want to be able to zoom in and have a clear picture.

I want a fast camera...I hate waiting for the picture to take. I want a camera that takes the picture fast so there's no blur in case my hand moves even very slightly.

I want a camera that's not going to suck the battery life into a black hole. I want to be able to spend a day taking pictures without worrying about switching out my batteries every couple of hours.

I don't want a bulky camera. The smaller/thinner the better.

I don't really care too much about all the little manual settings...I prefer simplicity.

I want to spend (at the most) around $300.

I travel a lot and I want a camera that's going to get the job done and have great pictures as an outcome.

I like the Olympus Stylus Verve a lot! I really like the look, but does it get the job done?
