Looking for a great low-light camera under $300

Mar 19, 2012 3:36PM PDT

I've had a Canon SD780 IS for a few years that is pretty stylish/light but just won't satisfy me with photos taken at night. I think its time for an update and I want your help!

Low Light $300

Such a camera will cost you $800.

You can check out the Canon S95 or S100 for low light performance that is better than the SD780.
But it is only about 2 f-stops better.

Those two cameras also produce sharper photos than the SD780.
To my eyes the S95 provides a bit more fine detail than the S100.

Are you still interested with the same brand or this time around you want to taste other great brands as well? Just to let you know that I bought my Nikon digital camera two months ago and i really like the picture quality. However, the price is way more than $300.
