Question

Looking For a Entry Level Gaming Laptop

Sep 6, 2018 2:35PM PDT

Hey my desktop is currently on the fritz, deadlocking and so on, anyway I decided to look into purchasing a somewhat gaming laptop that won’t be completely obsolete in 2 years.

I’d like to be able to play LoL and Overwatch on decent settings without an issue, and maybe a new title on lesser settings if one peaks my interest. I’m thinking around the 1050Ti area. I'd like to also use this to help me stream some games such as on xbox or switch, using the laptop for OBS and the capture card.

I’d like to have the option to upgrade RAM and the SSD (maybe an M.2)

My price point is around $1000, Maybe $1200
I’ve looked around and seen some good options, just need you guys to help me find the best bang for my buck. I’ve listed some options that I’ve found below, feel free to recommend any others. Thanks in advance.
(I’m not strictly Amazon but I do like to use my prime)

You're looking at the right setups.

The 1050 Ti would be the basement or lowest you should entertain. Maybe, lift that to the 1060 just to be sure.

I'm typing on an Acer Predator w/1060, i7, 16GB, 256GB SSD and such at 1080p it's very nice. It seems I can run with the game defaults and could pull back if I feel any lag.

For most titles, 8GB is fine.

Just make sure it's in dual channel mode.
