I don't know of any camera that is less than one inch thick that can use AA batteries.
The AA battery itself is about 0.6 inches thick.
That leaves little room for fitting into a camera that is 0.9 inches thick.
Of the ultra thins, the Canon SD series of cameras are getting good reports. Look at the SD300 SD400.
AS the model number tells you, it uses SD memory cards.

I'm looking to buy a 4 to 5 megapixel compact digital camera that's less than about 1 inch in depth. But most camera's that size use battery packs instead of AA's, however, this is my second digital camera and I already have a charger and several pairs of NiMH AA batteries. I also have several Secure Digital cards so I'd like a camera with a SD expansion card slot.
Has anyone seen a camera that meets this description?
Any suggestions about the things I'm looking for? ie: have you encountered any problems with the features I'm searching and may want to suggest against them or an alternative?
