by wkw427 / November 14, 2010 7:44 AM PST

I got myself a $10 amazon gift card and fancy getting a usb wifi card that I can plug into my old windows xp machine..
Thing is there are a lot of very similar products listed on amazon and I don't know where to start.
Like these: This one has an antenna. Whoooo... This one is not like the others...

Thing here is.. I don't know what to buy.. I have a laptop that has windows 7 on it and I get five bars in the room where the desktop that will be using it. Thats about it.. I can go a little bit over the $10.. Say, up to $20, but thats it..

Help is appreciated Happy

Item by item.

1. I have that one. No Windows 7 support. And I think it only had 32 bit Vista support. That's why it's cheep.

2. It seems to be the same as item 1.

3. Looks like item 1 but with another chipset.

(I see a trend here.)

4. You may have a winner. Yet another variant but folk report plug and play.

5. This one didn't list Windows 7 32 or 64 bit version support.

If I were to gamble, I'd pick:

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
