both the sony and panasonic HD hard drive models have viewfinders, and can also record right to a card. however panasonic does have a card only model with a viewfinder as well
I am looking to replace my Canon MV20 with a camcorder recording to a card (the fewer moving parts the better!). I was inclined to go with Canon again because of the image quality and have been looking at the Legria HF200 and the Vixia HF S100. However neither have a view finder - and I REALLY prefer filming through a view finder rather than an LCD screen. As far as I can see, most manufacturers are abandoning view finders. So can anyone recommend a camera in the price range of the above two Canon models - or mayber a bit more expensive) which incorporates a view finder?
