Looking for

A laptop mostly to play dvds, burn dvds/cds, maybe play a few games will be on the road mostly. I am not sure whats good out there but I saw a lot of dell stuff is on sale.

Dell stuff is always on sale. Get an Apple laptop if your primary criteria is media (pictures, music or video).

are there any issues with burning DVD's on Apple? What about MS Office applications? Any good laptops in the windows world?

Apple comes with iDVD burning program. Ms office is available for Apple.
