Why search for another program if you already found one?

Hi,
I'm looking for simple, searchable document management software similar to eDocXL (http://download.cnet.com/eDocXL/3000-10743_4-10431873.html?tag=mncol;1).
Thanks,

Because software freezes/crashes.
Any ideas - similar application?

That other apps would do the same.
Alternatives could be Microsoft Sharepoint, Knowledgetree and that should give you some starting points. Xerox has a stellar system but at a price.

I don't need those fancy apps with online managements, real-time collaboration & etc
I'm looking for simple piece of software that can sort, categorize, search docs.
can be done by Windows.
Sorting (on filename or creation date) by Windows Explorer.
Searching by Windows Search or Google search.
So all you need is categorizing? That seems like a typical human task, to put a document in the right folder.
Kees
Why not file your documents in relevant folders and try Google Desktop search to find stuff?
