warning this is gonna be long but i want to get my problems out there to see if anyone else is experiencing this... september of this year i walked into best buy to purchase a new hd lcd tv.. after doing some research and checking prices i decide to purchase a 32" hd lcd samsung. it's got 4:000-1 contrast ratio.. a sweet tv. i purchase a warranty from best buy also.. things are going great for the first 32 days. i then noticed a vertical red line coming down from top to bottom in the screen. it is very annoying. so i called best buy to get somebody out here to look at it and fix it.. they first contact a repair service who is 45 min. from my house. the repair company contacted me for directions. afterwards he simply told me i was out of his area. i then called best buy to let them know what was going on. they told me he can not refuse and has to do the service since he is one of their contracters. they called him 3 way and he said he would agree to do it but he wants more money. they denied and called another repair service.. next repair service told them they need the ok with samsung. so best buy called samsung. samsung told them they would fix the problem and suggested i let them fix it since it was still in the one year period.. so i said yes. i did mention the fact why cant i just return the tv for a new one at the store.. well i was 2 days late. they said you only have the first 30 and i had the tv for 32 days! so now i am dealing with samsung. its been about 3 weeks and nobody even came to look at the tv. samsung hooked me up with their repair service.. 2 days go by and i receive a phone call. they scheduled a service call. then the guys asks what state are you in? i said pennsylvania. they were in new jersey. he said there is no way they are coming that far. so i call samsung again(prob. about the 10th time!) i told them what happened.. they didnt believe me so they called themselves. after about 20 min on hold they get back to me. they then contacted york electronics. they agree to do the repair. got the scheduled appointment. they gave me a big time frame about what time they would be there. due to that i had to schedule a day off from work. the time frame was 11 am to 7 pm. so i am sitting there and 3 pm rolls by not hearing nothing. got the call and they said they would be there around 6. well 7:30 rolled by and nothing. phone rang and they got said he was unable to stop. i basically kept my cool but let him know i wasted a whole day sitting around and used up a vacation day too! he asked what the problem was. i told him about the red line and he said he knows whats wrong and is gonna order the part. part should be in 7-10 days. cool. well 14 days go by and the guy never got back to me. i called their store. he said samsung doesnt make that part and thats it. i asked why didnt you let me know? he said its not his problem.. at this point i want to hit the guy threw the phone. i call samsung and let it all fly. its been over one month and nobody has even looked at my tv.. they do the whole apologizing thing but i didnt want to hear it. i have been passed on to many times. they then tell me congrats you will just be getting a new tv instead of a repair. great.. they said they will do the paperwork and call back in 7 days. i called back and they knew nothing.. my luck is horrible.. i then explained it all over for the 30th time. time to talk to a manager. he said he would take care of it. call back in 7 days. 7 days go by i call back. they are now telling me the paperwork got denied.. all i can do now is laugh. give me the manager again. he everyone is dropping the ball. i told him enough is enough. he said york electronics is refusing to send paperwork they need. i told him that is not my problem.. i want this resolved now or i will be contacting my lawyer. he said he would call the regional manager and get this problem fixed immediately. cool. he said call back in 3 days and ask for me. i call back and he is not there. so i talked to another manager. he said they paperwork wouldnt be ready for another two weeks. so this is where i am at now. 2 months gone by and still a broken tv and nobody even looked at it.. i want compensated somehow.. any suggestions to what i should do? or call? any help is greatly appreciated. sorry this is so long but i need to vent. i will never buy a samsung product ever again!
