Question

Long rane 2km wireless connection

Hello i need a solution to connect two points 2km distance. I need to provide internet to a remote house on top of a mountain. 80m height diffirence. I tried tp link wa5210G, after 2 years. the speed is at dial up levels. Speed gets to decent levels during 1-6 oclock in the morning, propably because all other devices around are off. What hardware you would reccomend to get great internet speed?

When the manufacturers say 2km, they dont mean 2km, they mean up to 2km, so obviously getting one that is just about right isnt a good idea. Even the instructions say that you should adjust distance in settings for 110% of the actual distance for best perfomance. Also like i said perfomace went to trash 2 years later especially during day time, it is obvious that too many devices broadcast at 2.4ghz at my area.

So no this wont do, this is device is exactly what i got, i need something better than what i got. Mischief

2.4GHz is too crowded.

You may have to look at non-2.4GHz links rated at 10KM or more. Google finds them.
