Logitech x-530 speakers and digital surround sound

May 18, 2006 8:25AM PDT

Hi, was wondering if it was possible to hook up my x-530 speakers to a dvd player or receiver that could digitally decode surround sound. I want to use them for my xbox 360 but the game adapter doesn't allow for true dolby digital surround. Could I use the game adapter to hook up the speakers to the receiver and then in turn have the receiver decode the surround sound to each satellite? I realize I'd need an optical audio cable to hook up my 360 to the receiver as well. Thanks for any help
