Logitech trackball buttons suddenly stops working

Jan 30, 2006 7:19AM PST

My Logitech Optical TrackMan's additional buttons often suddenly stops working in the middle of my work. The only buttons still normal are the left and right buttons together with the scrolling-wheel. It seems like MouseWare is losing the key-mappings and "degrading" the mouse to an ordinary two- or three button mouse without any of the special functions normally assigned to the keys. I had the same problem with my old Logitech MX700 and the only solution I have is to simply reboot my computer and everything is back to normal again. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem and what I can do to fix it?

THANKS!
