I'm running into all sorts of issues like this in far too many products. Today it takes no less than a full IT staff to setup products. Who tells you not to mix Spybot and Norton? Who tells you why System Restore fails with some antivirus suites.
And when we install drivers, who is telling us about how those protection suites can thwart installs?
It's enough to forgo drivers and just use it as a simple mouse.

As a mouse, it works fine. However, this means only left click, right click and scroll. In order to make use of its features, I have to install setpoint 4.8. Setpoint 4.2 came with my mouse. I was too old of a version to work with this mouse. In installed 4.8. About 2/3 of the way through the installation, it takes over mouse and won't let go. Any further clicks are ignored. If I reboot the computer, the mouse still doesn't work. When I uninstall the driver, -it's a miracle - the computer recognizes new hardware, reinstalls the old mouse drivers and it works as before. Clearly the drivers are no good. Does anyone have access to a "good" driver? That is, one that allows the user to use the device as promised.
