Logitech Harmony 520 vs 688

Okay, to me it seems that the Logitech Harmony 520 and 688 universal remotes are pratically the same other than physical design.

Is one better than the other?

The MSRP on the 688 is $100 more than that of the 520. Is this because of the quality of the remote or simply the time that the product was priced in?

If the 688 is better, it's only $20 more at eCost than the 520 is at Wal-Mart, so price is not a concern.
