Resolved Question

login will not accept underline character

by jgw0 / September 27, 2014 2:51 AM PDT

I am trying to login to the e-miles site. It will not accept my email portion of the login as my name contains an underline (_) character. When I try and enter my name, with the underline character it inserts a space for the underline. I can put '_' in any other field and login to any other site where that email address is required.

I have also emailed the e_miles site explaining this but they have not replied to my question (asked a couple of days ago).

Does ANYBODY have a clue as to what is going on?

Thank you.........

The suggestion to change the password was the answer. I told the site that I had forgotten my password which actually let me into the site and issued me a temporary password to get going. That also allowed me to fix the bad email address (which was the problem). Now everything is dandy - thanks again! (should have known that one from the getgo <sigh>)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
