This may be the wrong forum to ask this question, but ...
I use the Firefox browser, which I find to be excellent. Lately, I notice that for some websites I visit, page loading is slowed to a crawl. My activity bar shows that the target website is executing links to sites like 'ad.doubleclick.com' and 'google-analytics.com'. I'm guessing that the target site is exploiting other sites to gather statistics, etc., but it seems to take forever. Since I have installed several apps to turn off popups and other adware junk, is it possible that the delay is caused by my browser waiting until the side-links time out? Is there something I can do to improve performance?
