Internet Explorer crashing is a sign of PC troubles. Since Mozilla Firefox is fine you would do the usual reset and removal of all Toolbars, Addons, BHOs and of course try IE's safe mode, and other modes.
But since all we really need IE for is Windows Updates, why fix this?

I tried the asnwer recommended by Grif Thomas. After I restarted the computer and ck'ed to see whether I could log into ebay again. It did not help as the Internet Explorer crashed again. Everything works fine when I log in the ebay thru the Mozilla/Firefox.
I don't know what happened. Should I check with the folks @ebay?
