Log for Office Detect and Repair

Apr 7, 2010 4:18AM PDT

Does anybody know on the office 2003 detect and repair tool where on the computer is the log saved? Or how do I know what is being repaired or fixed after a detect and repair operation? is there a log or where can I get information about that?

Please help me. I know on office 2007 there is a diagnostic tool that helps on this, but I do not know on office 2003 where to see the log for that (detect and repair).

Regards

Assuming this file has the .log extension, run it and use your favorite file manager to find *.log with a creation or modification date of today.

If it doesn't find it, do it first thing in the morning and check for *.* with a creation or modification date of today. You'll be amazed how many files are selected but if there is a log-file it will be one of those.

Is there any format on the name of that log? this to differentiate it from other logs...

or how will I know what is changed when office detect and repair is performed?

Just try and see. And open it with Notepad to see the contents.
