"DFS Replication does not provide any distributed locking mechanism or file checkout capability. If two users modify the same file at the same time on different servers, DFS Replication moves the older file to the DfsrPrivate\ConflictandDeleted folder (located under the local path of the replicated folder) during the next replication."

Look up the acronym DOA.
Sorry,
Bob
It seems that file locking mechanism is not working on a DFS environment. For example, when user A opens a document and user B opens the same document - user B does not get a message that the file is already in use user B and only view the document but no editing is allowed.
How do I configure it so that user B will be locked out of the file and can only view the document?
