No big problem.

NTPASSWD is a bootable CD or USB stick found on the web for free and how to use can reset those account passwords in about 5 minutes. And it's free.

For those that need a lot of support I suggest www.lostpassword.com since they'll mail you the needed media and phone support this.

For me, NTPASSWD (or NTPASSWORD), five minutes and I'm done. Figure 10 minutes for the first time user.

Bypass

You might need to use a spare PC to create a PCUnlocker Live CD (www.top-password.com). Once you've created it, put the CD in the optical drive of your Windows Vista machine and boot from it. The built-in password bypass tool will allow you to clear the admin password. I hope this will also work for you. Good luck!

Worth a try

I know there are also many free tools such as Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Ophcrack, Hirens' BootCD, etc. I prefer PCUnlocker as it's a feature-rich program for password bypass.

(NT) For me, since I have NTPassword, I keep the 29.95.
