Locked out of being the administrator

Jul 23, 2010 4:28PM PDT

For some reason unbeknown to me I have been denied administrator rights to delete programmes which is very annoying as many apps purchased for one year still pop up every time I boot up.
I bought a password finder but it just shows my email etc not the Admin password I have completely forgotten.
I have looked on the but found nothing I could understand or to solve the problem
Please is there anything I can do?
What a feature to make me dislike Microsoft.

Do you log into Windows using an Administrator account, or a Limited User account?

If you can log into Windows using your Administrator account, what do you attempt to do then? The normal procedure would be to goto Control Panel > Add/Remove programs, and remove, (uninstall), any unwanted programs from there.

How does this fail for you, and what are the exact error messages you see?

Thanks for such prompt reply's
Mark when trying to delete a programme all I see is this error message

"Your system administrator has disabled programs and features"

I do not know how this came about I had admin rights for 18 months then somehow lost them"

I log in as usual as John not as administrator

While I wonder why a forgotten password causes your dislike.

I think NTPASSWD can clear the password and let you move on. And its free.
