local administrators are not allowed to update the patches.

Hi,
I'm Desktop administrator and know the local administrator credentials of windows systems.But when i'm going to update the IE versions or doing patch works,it was not accepting the local admin credentials.when we log on to domain administrator account,we can do the things.
How to give the local administrators in domain full rights?

must have been imaged giving local admin restricted privilege only. Why? I don't know, but you can login as domain admin and change local admin privilege.
