Get rid of Norton

Do yourself and your machine a favor and get rid of Anything that has to do with Norton. There are all kinds of documented problems associated with Symantec products. You should switch to a antivirus, such as AVG which is free and to the one of several firewalls. A search on Google will give you a PLace to start.

loading Nortons...

I am having the exact same problem with Nortons. While browsing around in Mozallines' forums there was discussion about Windows and Norton's firewalls negating one another, only one should be used. I was a sissy and continued to use both, and Windows firewall turned off, the little balloon appeared, so I left it off, now it's Norton's that's off; and I feel completely vulnerable. I chose to leave Windows off because I use a webcam which specifically says that the Windows firewall hampers aspects of the webcam. So when I log on, there is no firewall guarding my little kingdom. any thoughts? thanks, choux
