load xp on new hard drive

I have a new maxtor sata hard drive how do I copy xp from my other hard drive as windows xp will not recognise a the hard drive when I try to install xp on it? I do not have a floppy drive. I have the motherboard disk with drivers.

utility CD should give you the option to copy the 'C' drive over. Then you swap the new one and the Master. Or... use the original XP discs on the virgin hard drive. Or... if you have a 'cloneing' app. use that.
