Load at Startup?

Jun 25, 2004 3:59AM PDT

Where is the performance tab located on WHP XP Home? Was looking under Grifs Tips for Newbies to check load at startup, but can't locate performance tab.Not under Computer/Properties on XP.
Thanks

I found the graphs on Task Manager but wasn't sure if it was the same thing.

Larry,

It's not quite the same, although there is a "Performance" tab. The "Performance" tab in the older operating systems shows the "resource percentage" that is available to the computer. Win 2000/XP don't use resources in the same manner because of the NT kernel and therefore show the performance slightly differently and is related to CPU usage not resources. You can check the CPU usage in WinXP by opening the "Task Manager", then clicking on the "Performance" tab. (Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, (if the "Task Manager" doesn't immediately show up, choose "Task Manager" button), then click on the "Performance" tab.)

Hope this helps.

I found it by right clicking on the quicklaunch bottom bar and going to Task Manager and Performance.
Right now with C/Net pulled up it is showing about a steady 2%CPU and 217MB PF bottom left has 43 Processes running.
