While I think the official position last year was that we did not support external HDD peripherals, there were plenty of reports that they worked if they were Fat16 or Fat32 formatted and worked within the codec guidelines. This year, I believe some HDD drives are supported based on the manual (and not any personal working knowledge).
Page 39 states some of the information regarding this, but at this time, I don't know anything more on this than what the manual states.

I know that the b series can play many types of movies files, I was just wondering if I can plug in my external hard drive to the TV to play them?
Or must I put them on a usb flash drive?
