LN52B750 - two questions

by drs350 / October 21, 2009 4:36 PM PDT

Just picked up a new LN52B750 and two things stand out.

1) When using Screen Fit I see a green line on the right side of the screen. If I move the picture to the right it goes away. However, if I switch inputs or turn the TV off I need to go through the same process. Shouldn't the TV remember the setting? I don't have an issue with other settings not being saved...

2) When I first turn the TV on the screen seems to be a bit darker and the picture looks great. After time, the picture gets brighter and seems a bit fuzzy. Is it normal for an LCD to get brighter after short periods of use?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, I have owned plasmas to this point. Thanks!

P.S. I did download and install the latest firmware.

LN52B750 - two questions

drs350,

Welcome to the forum! All questions welcome. Happy

1. If the settings change when you turn off the television, it may be in Shop Mode. Have you checked this?

2. The television can have a warm-up period in terms of colors and brightness, but I'm not sure why it would become more fuzzy. Are you viewing HD or SD channels? Are the backgrounds fuzzy, or is the entire picture that way?

Contacted your support team and they had me reset to factory defaults which seemed to do the trick. I'm curious if it had anything to do with the updated firmware I installed. I think I'll leave things be since I'm no longer having a problem.

Perhaps I just prefer a darker picture so I adjusted the backlight a bit. This set is pretty amazing. Happy

Thank you for the follow up!
