ln52a650 toc help...

Mar 24, 2009 10:03AM PDT

I just received my new ln52a650 today, and love the picture so far. I haven't had time to fiddle w/ everything yet, but so far so good. One question.. and I apologize if this was covered somewhere else, but I can't find it... I do not know how to turn on the toc light that surrounds the panel. I can not find it in the manual even though the delivery guy said it would be there. No designated button on the remote. Not sure if I want it on all the time, but would like to check it out... HELP!

mtelsey1,

The Touch of Color design is a subtle addition to the bezel, and doesn't actually light up. The idea was to move away from the solid black bezels and try something different with a "quiet" enhancement to the cosmetic style of the bezel.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, now I feel kinda stupid, but I could have sworn I saw it as a red light in stores lit from the bottom (some being blue in other models).. The delivery guy even brought it up "you know these have a light that goes around..". Well, I was getting worried mine was broke, but if that's the case, good!

mtelsey1,

No worries, it's a common misunderstanding. The stores are so brightly lit, or have backlit walls that sometimes that affect appears to be emitting from inside the bezel.
