This may help.
Since your router decides which ports to open, you may be best served calling them and having them walk through the router settings. Those kinds of directions vary by manufacturer and model.
It should be able to see your television without needing authentication because it's hardwired and not wireless.

Can someone provide a brief walkthrough of how to get Infolink working on a WPA2 wireless network via cat5?
Networking is my Achilles' heel. My wireless network works fine but I don't want to buy the linkstick so I'm connecting the TV to my router directly with a cat5 cable - but it's not finding the network. My router sees an unnamed device. I'm assuming I have to open a port or manually assign an IP address or something... please help!
