LN46B650 - Subtitles DLNA

Oct 27, 2010 2:19PM PDT

Hi, I own a Samsung LN46B650.
Feature I use the most if watching movies from my PC using Samsung PC Share Manager.

One thing that is terrible about it is that I can't change subtitles colors, making it very very hard to read.

I wonder if there is any fix for this.

Regards,
Alexandre

Subtitles fix
Oct 27, 2010 7:50PM PDT

There's a 3rd party fix from SamyGO. It's available as a "Game" run from the Content menu that has to be run once every time the TV is switched on:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/samygo/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40&start=60#p5597
or else as a permanent patch to the installed firmware, though you might need to roll back. SamyGO compatibility lists 1012.3 as latest.
http://samygo.sourceforge.net/

For the Game fix, read the whole topic. For the patch, read the Wiki very carefully, especially the warnings, as it poses some risk.

Very very nice. Used samygo to patch my firmware and now I have big yellow subtitles.
Telnet access and whole bunch of features that Samsung should provide us.

Thank you!
