LN46A860, clouding!

Feb 13, 2009 2:45AM PST

ok, so I recently purchased the above mentioned set, great picture. No IR issue which I was happy about, but I have what I researched as clouding. It is usually mostly on the top right corner. During periods of solid color screen, it is noticeable in various places. It is not a problem while watching movies/TV, but still annoying. Is there a recommended fix, does it get better? How much clouding is acceptable for a $1000K + tv? I have the option to take it back for another same TV or different brand. thank you all in advance for your replies.

Clouding...

traverse198,

Some clouding is inherent with LCD panels. You can try to exchange it for another unit if you'd like to, but I don't have any definitive measure on how much clouding is acceptable.

I always encourage users to do what's best for them and what makes them happy.

I just ordered this set, I will check it out when I hook it up see if I have the problem as well and report back.

btw...$1000k would be a million dollars, I hope no tv costs this much and if it does it better not cloud!

BertGrendle,

If it does, we can fix it.

Keep me posted.
