ckiefer72,
You might try reverting to a lower firmware edition if you can find it. I'm not at liberty to distribute outdated firmware versions. PQ was not reduced to resolve the IR interference, tho I have seen that suggestion made on other websites, the overwhelming majority of CNet forum members here say that this is not the case.
That said, PQ is a perception, and if you say it looks different, then there no argument I could possibly make to say otherwise. I say that very respectfully; at the end of the day, you're the final judge. But if it doesn't seem to meet your needs, you might try reverting back to an earlier version to see if that difference is preferential to your needs.

I can tell all of you that my LN46A650 had a brighter picture that popped, versus my LN46A850 with Firmware 1005 which seems duller.
Samsung Tech - What recourse do I have? I have two months of viewing of the LN46A650 and just received the LN46A850 with 1005 firmware. I can tell a difference. Was brightness and PQ reduced to resolve the IR interference issue? I cannot return this TV since it is past 30 days, and is an exchange.
