spoonbill24,
With this proposed setup, I might suggest hooking up everything directly to the television. The Z310 Home Theater system has an input that will support one surround sound optical cable. I would definitely use that with your PS3+Blu capabilities to get the most surround experience. From what I understand currently, the Wii has limited surround sound capabilities, but that would definitely keep the cost down.
If you were to upgrade to a higher Home Theater system, I might suggest one that has multiple optical inputs for futureproofing; otherwise, if the above scenario seems like it fits your needs, it could certainly work. Doing so will not hurt the television in any way.

Hello, i just wanted to know if i got a playstation 3, a wii system, and if im not mistaken, the z310 samsung home theatre system, could that be all hooked up to my ln46a650. And if i had a blu-ray disk in the playstation would the surround sound still work even though it's not going through it's own dvd player. The t.v. has 4 hdmi hook ups, and that would be four systems hooked up including the hd box an the optical cable. Would that be ok to do and would that hurt the t.v. in anyway. Also, if i have the playstation 3, should i not get the Z310 and just get speakers, or would getting that not be a problem. Just didnt want to spend too much money on the home theatre system.
Thank you for support.
