LN40a550 break-in period

Dec 5, 2008 3:58PM PST

Hello,

I just recently bought a LN40a550 and I began playing my Xbox 360 on it immediately. Is there a break-in time I should be worried about? Also I calibrated my tv as per other posts on another forum, but should I wait until the break-in period is over before I change any picture settings? If a break-in period is recommend, what picture settings should be used?

Thank you !

LN = LCD

kt.iam,

Welcome to the forum!

There is very little break-in period for LCD panels. They can technically burn in over the long run (for instance, if you play one game hour after hour, day after day), but it takes some pretty heavy abuse to burn-in an LCD.

Calibration

Thank you so much for the response. As far as calibrating the tv, is there a break-in time for that or can I just go ahead and tweak with it for my own best results. And, I already upgraded to the 1008.1 firmware version I believe, if that means anything.
