LN37A450C1 - No sound through HDMI

I have an LN37A450C1 that is not playing sound through the TV's speakers when using HDMI sources for input. I've tried three separate sources via HDMI in all three HDMI inputs, to no avail. When plugging those same sources (two DishNetwork STBs and one Samsung BD player) into another Samsung TV, I have no issues. I've tried three different HDMI cables as well. All was working fine about three weeks ago. I believe we had a power flash between the time that I knew it was working and when it quit working, but I am not 100% sure. I have tried "resetting" the TV via the "hold exit button 15 seconds and select reset," and that didn't work either. The two DishNetwork STBs have standard video out (Red, White, Yellow), and when connecting those via RCA patch cables to the input on either TV, I have sound. I believe that some sort of HD/HDMI audio processor went out, but I don't know what to do next to confirm. I have not upgraded the firmware and I do not know how to find the version that I am on. Is it worth trying a FW upgrade? What would be the approximate cost to repair the audio DSP/Codec/whatever-it-is-that-blew if that is in fact the case? $100? $500? $1000? Thanks!

Menu-based reset and remote-hard reset

In reply to: Did you try reset?

Were both tried; unfortunately, neither were effective.

Looking bad to me.

Wish there was more story such as someone trying headphone jacks, lightning strike or other.
