Sorry but I would ask that the place you get a new set take it in for free. http://www.costco.com/32-inch-tvs-and-below.html finds the 32 inch size to be in some sort of price crunch zone with too many in the 200 buck range.
I would not have it fixed.
I bought this TV for my mother 2.5 years ago for Christmas. It worked well until yesterday. It just simply will not turn on now. All of the other electronics that were plugged into the same outlet are fine so it was not a power surge. Worst part is that I called Samsung and they suggested that I take it to a repair shop, and I cover the repair charges. I get it that it is past the 1 year warranty, but am I really stuck with dumping more money into a $400 TV after only 2.5 years? I have always bought nothing but Samsung TV's but now feel like I was ripped off for an inexpensive TV. It is not the money that upsets me, just the principal. Has anyone else had this same issue with this TV? Have any advice on what the issue is and how much the repair would cost?
