LN-S3252D intermittantly loses sound

When turning my Samsung LN-S3252D on, the sound doesn't come on until several minutes have elapsed. Once the sound is on, it mostly stays on; however, there will be several sound drop-outs lasting several seconds.

I'm only using the speakers from the TV and this sound drop out occurs when my source is the TV antenna and also when the source is my DVD player.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Is there an easy (and inexpensive) fix?
