There have been several issues on these threads concerning compatibility issues with Vista. Most, if not all of them have been solved by updating the latest drivers and BIOS updates for the computer.
As far as streaming video, there are only certain supported files due to Copyright protections and supported approved codecs. Perhaps some members of the forum community can help.
The list of codecs and resultions supported via WiseLink are found in the manual, and I've posted a list here for your convenience.

Purchased this new SAMSUNG to play files recorded and saved to a home network media server using Windows Vista. Windows records the video fine, however, even though the Samsung can see the files on the server - it says that it does not support the file types? Cannot find a way to save the files in a different format. And the Samsung does not apparently support the Windows Vista Format? Is there new firmware, software, or another method that can be used to allow these devices to work together on a high speed (1gb) home network?
Thanks for your help.....
