Question

LiveWave

Feb 3, 2019 3:06PM PST

Has anyone tried to use the live wave antenna. It has a coax feed and plugs into your 110 volt outlet. It claims to use the wiring of your house as an antenna. Is it bogus or is it possible that would work? I may not really need it since I am close enough to New York City but I certainly would like to pick up more channels and pick up the ones I have now with more reliability. Thanks John

Correct Return Address
May 7, 2019 6:55PM PDT

We'd like to assure you that this is legit entity, we are not in the business of scamming people. Delays on shipment do not equate to a company being fraudulent. In fact, we offer a 30-day Money Back Guarantee and the return address will depend on your location. If you are in Europe, the return address is the one in The Netherlands. We also have a California return address for US customers. It pays to ask the right people instead of purely relying to other people's post on the internet. We hope to have informed you sufficiently. Thanks!

There is no such thing as a HDTV antenna. And your product sucks. It doesn’t work and the wiring in your house is not made to pick up signals.

Hi John. We're here to help. The Digital HDTV Receiver uses the electrical wiring in your home to receive digital signals from broadcast towers in your area – turning your entire home or building into one large antenna. The number of channels you can receive depends on your distance, location, and environment in relation to your nearest broadcast tower. You can also try adding the amplifier to boost the distance range of the antenna.

If your company is 100% legit, then why not offer C.O.D. (Collect On Delivery) instead of having customers prepay? I think that would do a lot of good for your customer relations.

30-Day Money Back Guarantee

Well, I purchased three of these antennas for 3 TVs and they don't work on any of them. I've sent 2 e-mails trying to get an address to return them to within the 30 day period and haven't received an answer yet...So, scam or not, you can't return them if you don't have an address to return them to.

Wrong Return Address
Sep 8, 2019 8:11PM PDT

The address LiveWave gave you (and me) for returns is NOT VALID.
I returned the item (cost $7.45) and it was sent back to me by the US Postal Service as undeliverable due to insufficient address.
When I called my local Post Office, they said this address is that of the Post Office in Pacoima, CA and NOT for LiveWave. The #4701 means nothing in the address to clarify delivery.

YES, LiveWave IS A SCAM

I just sent back 2 of these antenna"s . I hope I get my money back as with the US exchange came to $115.00 plus $11.75 to send back just regular mail. For a senior expecting to save some money, it sort of backfired.. You know the old saying "If it sounds to good to be true, chances are it's not true" Be careful people.

I have the same experience - NO (ZERO) channels. A quick lookup for their domainname for address and registrar info, shows me that "getlivewaveantenna.com" is hosted by Amazon. I would find a route to their complaint department and get them thrown off the Amazon cloud.

Scam this is not a new idea there was once one for analog
May 20, 2019 10:21AM PDT

Of course they want the money up front because they want you to give up on demanding your money back
do they bother to inform you that this device will never work in a mobile home no they'll say anything at customer service to get you to purchase their product again heaven forbid that you your money back have you ever seen a dog chasing its tail......
I ordered one just to experiment with it took 4 1/2 months before it finally arrived all kinds of excuses all kinds of new delivery dates all kinds of BS for a product they knew would never work in a mobile home yet from her service bent over backwards to convince you yes it will and you can always ask for your money back but do they inform you regarding all the red tape to get your money back of course they don't! Be smart by an antenna do the research and buy something that really will work like I said this isn't new many years ago there was one introduced for analog television same old type of hype and in the end you're disappointed they've got your money and you'll find yourself chasing your tail trying to get it back do I sound bitter perhaps like I said it was an experiment sadly I already knew the outcome said experiment yet this is only my opinion and my experience with their product and their customer service department for the same amount of money can buy a reasonably good OTA antenna and you're going to get far better results yes it does look easy but the easy part is how they reach into your pocket and take your money be smart and devote the energy and put up a antenna you can depend on
sorry for venting I just think people should know the experience I had with said product and so-called customer service

I too was given the address that Goldengirl68 above for return of the item.
See my post above.
I called customer service again and was given the same address for return of the LiveWave Antenna. I informed that agent the Post Officer was unable to deliver the item to you because the address is NOT Valid for LiveWave. The agent would not give me another address.
Yes, your device and return procedure are SCAMS.

May 23, 2019 3:53AM PDT

Received this product earlier in the week and I promise it doesn’t work. I feel incredibly stupid for purchasing this product. Basically as soon as I purchased it I came across all the negative reviews. Gave it a shot and nadda. Not one channel. To top it off, the company is slow at responding and doesn’t look like it’ll be easy to get my money back.

I ordered this to try it out. Well it didn't work and to top it off, I contacted the company about returning the product and didn't hear back from them for 2 months. Needless to say at that point they contacted me to let me know that per there policy I was outside the 30 day return period and wouldn't refund my money. So not only am I out the money, I feel like I got scammed and there's nothing I can do about it. Please don't waste your time.

It only uses the ground wire, so I doubt that it would work well, since there's an inner and outer wire with coaxial cables.
Get a Smart TV with Wifi and lose the cable box for good.
We are bombarded with commercials, and pay for it.

Livewave should be named SCAMWAVE
Dec 24, 2019 8:55PM PST

This is a total SCAM so BEWARE!! Save yourself all the trouble that we all have been through. It took them so long to ship the product after countless emails and phone calls. I heard so many excuses but until I demanded my money back was it finally shipped and I received it 4 months later from the time I first ordered it. I had a new smart tv and didn't get one single local channel beyond any cable channels. It is a plastic plug that plugs into an electrical outlet. That in itself could start a fire, I would think. Now I bought 5 of them with a lifetime warranty which the cost involved was $145.35 so I was determined to get my money back. When I finally got ahold of them which is not an easy task. I spoke on the phone to a foreigner which is acceptable nowadays. I went round and round with her when I told her the product didn't work like they claimed. She asked me is their any buildings or trees or mountains between me and the towers. I said well yeah I guess there would be, she said well that is why it doesn't work. I dont live by any mountains. I said but I live in a house which could be considered a building and their other houses on the block so there would be more buildings and we have trees on our properties that is why it doesn't work? She said yes, I said well that you just told me your product isn't going to work for anyone because we all live in buildings and have trees around us between us and the towers. Finally I got tired of going round and round with her so I asked you speak to a manager. She told me they don't have managers. I said you don't have managers, she said no. I asked so who is your boss , she said we have supervisors. I said can I speak to one of them, she said they are not working today. I told her I wanted to speak to the corporate office and get their phone number. She said they did not have a corporate office or phone number. I asked if they were based in the US, she said yes. I said so where are you right now, she said CA. I said so you are in California she said no, I'm in Canada. I said Canada is not in the United States of America. She did get a supervisor for me but I got nowhere with her either. By the way she put me on hold by putting the phone down on a desk or table and someone else picking up the phone. They refused to give me my money back. After talking to my bank they got my money back. We discovered they had a 609 area code number for them which they reported which is a Central New Jersey number but the company is out of Hong Kong. So is that Japan no I guess that is China then. They really need to learn geographical areas.
