Live Video Streaming from a Video Camera

So i want to hook up a live video camera, not a webcam, for sports related events and want to stream my videos online and also be able to record them too...my questions are 1) how do i go about doing this?, 2) is it expensive to do?, 3) is there a way i can upgrade this system too later (after i get more money) to hook it up to a computer to incorporate text and other graphics too, 4) who is the best provider too and who are my options for streaming sites.
Thanks for your help,
Josh

Did you find ustream.com?

It has the software and many options for hardware there.
